Cavalier Furniture Antique
Having been a top talent in the interior design business for 15 years, Jay Jeffers has developed a discerning eye for selecting furniture and accessories for his clients—so much so that he decided to offer his viewpoint to a wider audience. His recently opened San Francisco boutique, Cavalier by Jay Jeffers, is a stylish assemblage of objets d’art, home furnishings, artwork, and accessories, all hand-picked by Jeffers and his creative director, Michael Purdy.
“Michael and I are always scouting for rare and inspiring things when we travel, ” explains Jeffers. “We discovered Howl Studios’s furniture on a trip to Austin, the incredible resin skulls by Laurence Le Constant during Design Week in Paris, and ceramics by Shizue Imai when we were in Brooklyn.” Other highlights included in the 4, 000 square-foot gallery are brightly colored leather pillows by Lance Wovens, Nason Moretti geometric glass vases, and an artfully curated assortment of antiques (such as a vintage Pier Luigi Colli Italian bronze lantern). Plus, the space serves as the launch pad for Jeffers’ own line of California-made home furnishings, lighting, and accessories.
